There was a time that if you wanted a voice controlled “smart house,” walls had to be invaded, wires laid and gadgets attached. With improvements made over the last few years in the wireless territory that is no longer the case. If one has internet, a router, strong broadband and a mechanical assistant, then making an old house smart can be a piece of cake.
For those who are not tech savvy that piece of cake could be hard to cut; however, there are experts who can accomplish this for a person without breaking the bank. Even so, there are a few basics one can accomplish on their own with the help of their internet provider and that is the first step.
