Social media companies may not be liable for terrorism content after all

In what may prove to be a landmark decision, a federal judge threw out two lawsuits that claimed Facebook was liable for terrorist activity carried out on its social media platform. According to the judge’s statement, companies like Facebook are not responsible for harmful content posted by third parties, even if they failed to remove it.
