DHS Provides Awareness Briefings on Russian Activity Against Critical Infrastructure

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) is conducting a series of unclassified, virtual awareness briefings on Russian government cyber activity against critical infrastructure.

We believe this webinar will be of interest to technical teams operating in or serving any firm that operates in the energy, nuclear, commercial facilities, water, aviation, and critical manufacturing sectors.

Since the information flows from and puts into context reports like US-CERT reports we expect it to get technical, but this will very likely provide the information in ways that makes it easier to contextualize. We highly recommend your participation.

The webinar schedule is:

  • July 23, 2018 1:00 pm EDT to 2:30 pm EDT
  • July 25, 2018 1:00 pm EDT to 2:30 pm EDT
  • July 30, 2018 1:00 pm EDT to 2:30 pm EDT
  • August 1, 2018 1:00 pm EDT to 2:30 pm EDT

For more information see: https://www.us-cert.gov/ccubedvp/events (at the time of this writing the registration link has yet to be posted, you will need to check back right before the event).

And, no matter who you are, think through how you can raise your defenses. You can do many things right now that make it harder on adversaries. See our short list at: Crucial Point’s Cybersecurity Best Practices.
