Cybersecurity Professionals Needed: DHS providing more info via webinar

Please share this with anyone you think needs to know about this great career opportunity, which includes both entry level and experienced cybersecurity professionals.

This is the text from an email we just received from the DHS Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer:

Greetings!

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has compelling cybersecurity missions that draw candidates seeking to join a team that makes a difference to secure cyberspace. Now more than ever, DHS must recruit, develop, and retain a talented and diverse cybersecurity workforce.

As part of this focus, DHS will host a DHS Cybersecurity Webinar on October 16 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (EST). The webinar will provide information on cyber missions, cyber career opportunities, and the federal hiring and application process. Participating DHS Components include: Office of Intelligence and Analysis, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Transportation Security Administration, and the Office of Chief Information Officer.

Registration is required to attend.

Our view, this is a great step by DHS and we hope it provides the information required for cybersecurity professionals to find the positions they are best able to serve in and also hope it helps DHS step up their game in this critically important area.
